Spotted in the UK; vintage shopping and pay by weight. ‘How cool is that?! And how cool would it be to organize something like this in my own city of Rotterdam?’, Heidi thought. With the Vintage Kilo Sale she has been showing that the concept is catching on for 7 years now. Not only in her home city, but throughout the Netherlands and Belgium.
The beginning
Since the successful first kilo sale in Rotterdam on March 24, 2013, the Vintage Kilo Sale has become a popular recurring event! With always about 2 tons of vintage stock from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, the team travels all over the country, always in a different surprising location. ‘It’s great that we see so many faces in all those different locations!’, says Heidi. ‘I hope for many new locations and new cities in the future , the sky is the limit. I prefer to travel all over the world. We have also been active in Ghent and Antwerp since this year. And who knows, we might even go to Germany, I think that would be really cool.’ The team behind the sale is always open to suggestions for new locations. ‘That’s what keeps it fun,’ explains Heidi. ‘I spend a lot of time purchasing and really enjoy seeing people travel after us all over the country — and Belgium — because they know they can find something beautiful with us.’
Sustainable A-quality, clothing for everyone!
There is clothing for everyone. ‘Lately more and more men and boys like to wear vintage. I personally think that it is also because people are increasingly consciously working on sustainable clothing or are trying to weave sustainability into their lives in general. They attach great importance to the fact that they don’t just buy clothes from us that are already worn out after wearing them a few times.’
The items on the Vintage Kilo Sale are hand-selected for A-quality. Vintage is often offered in bulk in combination with a certain quality: ‘We consciously choose to offer hand-picked and the best pieces of vintage. These are items that have been checked and are therefore absolutely not articles that become ugly after wearing them once; we prefer to go for really sustainable and A-quality fashion.’
There are now also other companies that offer vintage per kilo. But not every sale is one of ours. So check the agenda and our Facebook events!’

On December 18 and 19 we will be displaying the new vintage collection at our own location in Rotterdam! With over a ton of vintage clothing you can go wild among the thousands of vintage items for him & her.
Expect a beautiful vintage collection of knitwear, blazers, blouses and glitter & more!
Pick & Mix and settle your vintage by weight; 20 euros per kilo.
No minimum or maximum is required, the weight x 20 euros = what you pay🙂
We look forward to seeing you at our familiar spot in the SPEK Design Dock in Rotterdam.
On both days we will replenish the racks so that the early birds have not shopped away all the beautiful things.
We work with small groups and with time slots for which you can register, a maximum of 2 tickets per person.
