BlueCity: swap clothes for Christmas at CHANGEZ XL event
Instead of buying new clothes at the end of the year, go for second-hand market
CHANGEZ XL – SWAP & REUSE
It’s the same song every year: in the run-up to the holidays, the shop windows in the shopping streets scream for your attention. You can find good deals everywhere, but ho ho ho!
Where does all that stuff come from? What (scarce) raw materials are they made from? And where are all the items that have become interchangeable, because there is now a new version with an even more beautiful design for an even more competitive price? Correct. We prefer not to think about that.
That can be different. Will you join us? Come to CHANGEZ XL in BlueCity on Saturday 18 December: we will transform the old wave pool into a large SWAP & REUSE department store with a clothing exchange, children’s clothing exchange and toy exchange and products from cool circular entrepreneurs from BlueCity.
Free entrance
Admission to CHANGEZ XL is free. However, we do ask you to book a ticket in advance here.

Let’s Fix Fashion
During CHANGEZ XL you can also come and fix your clothes at Let’s Fix It. From 12.00 to 18.00 you can participate in various workshops: Fix your woolen clothes with designer Foekje Fleur, paint your clothes with flowers with Studio Nani, make and paint a bodysuit with LOGOCOMO x Studio Kling. Swap Rules
General swap rules
- Please make sure your clothes or toys are in good condition. The better the quality, the more points you get.
- Adult and children’s clothing points can be exchanged for each other.
- You trade toys for toys.
- You pay for your new items with your SWAPS (points) via The Swapshop app. Download it in advance via the app store.
- You pay a small service fee (€1/2/4/8/15) per item you bring, whereby a simple shirt is €1 and a so-called designer item is €15.
- Do you have SWAPS (points) left at the end? No problem, these points remain valid after the event and can be returned in The Swapshops.
- Hand in your items at BlueCity on Friday 17 December between 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM or take them to CHANGEZ XL. You get SWAPS (points) for these items.
Adult clothing
- Bring a maximum of 5 items. (Clothes and shoes)
- Hand in your items at BlueCity on Friday 17 December between 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM or take them to CHANGEZ XL. You get SWAPS (points) for these items.
Children’s clothing
- Bring a maximum of 10 items. (Clothes and shoes)
- All children’s sizes are welcome.
- Hand in your items at BlueCity on Friday 17 December between 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM or take them to CHANGEZ XL. You get SWAPS (points) for these items.
Toys
- Bring a maximum of 10 toys.
- We do not accept free children’s CDs, DVDs, toys from fast food chains and the supermarket.
- Larger items such as kitchenettes, walking carts, garages, etc. must be handed in in advance on Friday 17 December between 5 pm and 7 pm.

Attention ! Corona Measures
for visiting events from September 25, 2021 you have a corona ticket required. This can be a vaccination certificate, recovery certificate or test certificate. Keep your ticket, admission ticket (this is allowed via the corona app, printed negative test certificate or the yellow booklet) and identification at hand at the entrance to be able to enter as smoothly as possible.
