Istituto Marangoni to award scholarships at Costa Rica Fashion Week
Two Costa Ricans participants will be granted to study in Milan and Miami
The prestigious Istituto de Marangoni will grant scholarships to two Costa Ricans to study programs at its headquarters in Milan and Miami. This is possible through its partnership between Costa Rica Fashion Week and this educational institution that focuses on fashion design and fashion business.
The recipient scholarship to study at the Miami headquarters of Istituto Marangoni will be selected among the national designers participating in CRFW 2023 through a curatorship by Marangoni and the CRFW organization.
In addition, in this year’s edition, students from the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje (INA) and Véritas University will present their creations, among which one designer will be selected to receive a scholarship to attend a program at Marangoni’s headquarters in Milan, in a similar process.
In the words of Karina Diaz, director of CRFW,
“The Istituto Marangoni scholarship at Costa Rica Fashion Week is of great importance as it contributes to the development and promotion of fashion in Costa Rica, it strengthens fashion education in the country and provides unique opportunities for Costa Rican designers and students in their quest for a successful career in the fashion industry.”
According to her, these scholarships are an opportunity to open horizons for the Costa Rican industry “The scholarship gives beneficiaries the opportunity to study at a world-renowned institution, access a global network of fashion professionals and benefit from the experience and knowledge of Istituto Marangoni’s teachers and professionals.”
Riccardo Rotondo, Istituto Marangoni’s Area Manager for North and Latin America, this partnership will benefit Costa Rican designers:
“Through their study abroad experience, the winners will be able to benefit from a different perspective of the creative process, surrounded by a multicultural environment, and including in their academic training the cultural contributions of two of the world’s leading fashion capitals.”
The CRFW platform is committed to offer professional development opportunities for students and national designers that open horizons and more opportunities for our industry in the country.
