b:njud: made in Berlin with art and sustainability
German startup creates climate neutral, cruelty-free, ethical, organic, and artsy t-shirts
Art to wear, shirts with a voice
Statement shirts accompany us also this year through the summer. b:njud relies on art to wear to transport the important messages.
It is high time that we use worn statements to stand up for good and important things.
The Berlin based Start-up b:njud shows us how this can work when it comes to challenges such as climate change, inequality or self-determination.
The evocative artworks were created in collaboration with independent artists. The prints are meant to draw attention, bring about change and a rethinking of society.
b:njud, pronounced as “be nude,” drops the covers and lays bare the cost of the t-shirt. In addition to the signature of the artists, the composition of the sales price can be seen on the embroidered, pink label.
For example, 10% goes to the artists, and another 10% supports a social project.
Production
In production, b:njud, which is also certified by Peta, focuses on sustainability: the T-shirts are fairly produced, 100% organic and vegan. The prints are environmentally friendly.
Packaging is done without plastic packaging; advertising waste is avoided.
The first “awearness art” collection is available via crowdfunding. Maybe you will also become a wearer of important messages to create awareness and inspire others to become part of a new time of rethinking.
