Mandali Mendrilla: Belgian and spiritual
From the dust of crystals to patterns with natural vibrations, spirituality has never been so fashionable
Mandali Mendrilla is a Belgian brand, registered in The Netherlands, and made by an American designer who grew up in Croatia, that aims to promote a sustainable perception through fashion. The brand calls itself as:
one of the world’s first conscious vegetarian luxury fashion houses – with a pinch of avant-garde.
The designer uses ecofriendly materials, such as recycled silk and peace silk. In the last show at Helsinki Fashion Week, in Finland, she used also natural dyes and the dust of 16 crystals.

The use of crystal dust may sound like a post-modern hippie-chic style. Nothing wrong. Mandali goes further: she combines the materials with a process she calls Yantra Couture, which involves creating custom patterns based on natural vibrations.
According to the brand, Yantra Couture are sculptural garments made in harmony with nature. The garments are designed using ancient subtle technologies which assist in creating patterns based on individualised mandala diagrams aligned with the inspiration of the designer and, if applicable, the client.
Apparently, fashion has the power to heal.
