Where does fashion come from? Fashion designer Michelle Lesniak talks about her footsteps in creating a fashion line. By using unusual methods and pulling from life lessons, Lesniak is able to turn her ideas into an emotional experience worth sharing.
Michelle Lesniak, winner of Project Runway Season 11, wowed judges and viewers alike with her strong aesthetic and quick wit. Although nearly eliminated, Michelle tenaciously fought back to reveal one of the most cohesive and distinctive collections seen on Project Runway to date. Self-taught in both garment design and leather working, her love of art, print, texture, and music manifests itself through her designs. Michelle is committed to staying in her hometown of Portland. Her dedication to local manufacturing and ethical business practices is playing a key role in shaping and growing the Portland Fashion Industry.
